HP working on a cloud music service?

If Apple, Google, Amazon and Microsoft can do it, why step HP? Honestly I do not see why they should not want to go to music fans around the world. The rumor is that they are in talks with major labels to launch a service which would not only users of their own music in the cloud water courses, but also songs that they do not possess. In the sense that they could circumvent the process of creating a music store online completely. Then at some point in the future, they could add individual songs in the catalogue, on the assumption that it is the idea here.

In any event, it is good to hear another strong competitor will enter the market for cloud services. It is natural for HP working on web-based services that will sing along their webOS platform.

However, I must say that if I was at the helm of HP I would seriously consider acquisition among existing music streaming providers such as Pandora, Rdio and Spotify for technology, people, and existing customers base. Each of the three companies should not be out of reach for budget massive HP. What do you think?
