Nokia: We will not have a Tablet unless she can compete with iPad

elop 660x440 Nokia: We wont have a tablet unless it can compete with iPad

I am here live in the Uplinq Conference and Nokia CEO Stephen Elop just off the coast of the stage and basically reiterated what he said on why Nokia has chosen Windows Phone on Android. While we've heard this before, he did devote a segment of the market compressed and essentially said that we should not expect a Nokia Tablet until it can compete with the Apple iPad.

Elop has stated that there are probably 201 tablets soon on the market, but only of those actually sells mass, attract developers and exciting consumer. While the Xoom, BlackBerry and other manual are interesting devices, these are clearly not doing as well as the Apple iPad. Nokia Tablet out that if it's just number 202, Elop said.

He did talk about how Microsoft introduced just 8 Windows with a strong touch interface which is clearly optimized for tablets, but it has not gone as far as committing to it. Nokia Tablet has to stand out from the crowd, as well as to generate revenue for the company, he said simply.

Apple, Research In Motion, LG, Samsung, Motorola and almost every other major mobile device maker has his Tablet strategy put in place, it will be interesting to see how long it takes for a Nokia tablet on the market. I expect the company to embrace 8 Windows for its tablets and should be a partner of material featured once Windows 8 is on the market. This will probably feed the rumors that Microsoft will buy Nokia.

What is you are excited about a Nokia tablet with Windows 8? Say what you want on the Finnish society, but he still knows how to make some stellar industrial design. I need more time with the operating system of Microsoft to really try, but it seems powerful and user-friendly. Of course, at the time where a Nokia Tablet land he could face an iPad 3 or 4, it can thus be certain a vive competition.
