ooVoo was impress us with their ability to cram up to six appellants in a mobile video call, but for the moment it is reserved for Android devices. Following a brief overview a few months ago, ooVoo has launched their free app iOS today, allowing the owners of iPhone 4 get too pleased.
The application allows you to keep tabs on friends, set your status, and engaging voice or video calls (with traditional Instant Messaging). Appeals can be taken on the camera is facing the front or back and in a pinch can make calls to folks on cell phones without installed ooVoo. The application works over 3 G just as well as Wi - Fi, although if you make a video, you can enjoy the additional bandwidth Wi - Fi has to offer. Of course, calls can be passed through the ooVoo for Mac and Windows desktop apps as well.
Skype remains the standard de facto for video telephony and VoIP, but there is much room for competition, especially those that attack the mobile as dynamically, ooVoo is 6-way chat. Of course, it is difficult to imagine a call as this practice (or useful) on a small screen, but I could see it works well on the iPad or any other device of large screen.
If you are interested to try it out, ooVoo is available free in the App Store below iOS software.
