We have heard many stories lately on iPhone/iOS excess Android as the leader of the smartphone platform, but Chitika think otherwise. Recently, comScore has published a study that shows surpassed Android and be well in advance of iOS in terms of mobile platforms, but Chitika, the ad company, sees its own data contradicting comScore.
According to Chitika, the iPhone is still the top smartphone on the market later. Based on the impressions of the smartphone browser $ 13.5 million, the iPhone includes 38% while Android has dropped to 29%. It is quite a stark difference when we consider the study released by comScore where Android was 31.2% and the iPhone had only 24%.
Chitika the opportunity to see many trends and use that most countries do not know because of its position as a mobile unit of advertising. However, the problem I have with the Chitika study is that it is not an infallible indicator of who owns the smartphone market based on impressions from the mobile browser. Perhaps a clearer title for its study would have been, "iPhone head of market for mobile browser for ad impressions."

This, folks, is part of the joy of online statistics - data set of all the world is a little different and has a slightly different bias. Don't forget that our network does not take into account apps and is purely based on a large collection of Web sites. This is useful in that the data set is consistent, but it is assumed that the use of the web browser is the same among mobile devices (in other words, all the Android and iPhone devices run Mobile Safari or Chrome Mobile 50% of the time).
just iPhone users could use their browsers a little more than Android users. There are a number of factors to consider, but I do not think that iOS beats Android based on the study of the Chitika of 13 million impressions. The hypothesis that the browser is the same across devices is a huge assumption to make, and the conclusion that the iPhone is still the smartphone number one in the United States based on this data set limited drawing is even greater.
