CyanogenMod team unleashed the third release candidate for CyanogenMod 7, the Android 2.3.3 based custom gingerbread Roma. We have yet to see the hit new RC ROM Manager, and it is only available for select combination at the present time, but it is probably available for all compatible devices in good and due time.
CyanogenMod has a reputation for keeping the user interface as minimalist as possible and stay close stock Android, but uses ADW Launcher as your main home replacement. New features are added in practically every output, like a many bug fixes and speed improvements. This is by far the most popular custom ROM available at this time, with the last release candidate downloaded more than 150 000 times within 24 hours of its launch.
However, it appears to be more hiccups in CM7 than previous versions. While the release candidates are, and not necessarily stable, the experience that it is today is more inconsistent than previous versions of the Roma. Some of these vary from questions of immerse the phone in the bootloops, close completely when idling, or with applications force close, making you have to uninstall and reinstall get them them working again. It is not to say that it is something, that you should avoid, but I hope that we will be seeing a stable version very soon.
