In October 2008, Jack Dorsey felt that Steve Jobs must have felt when he was pushed out of his own company. Dorsey resigned as CEO of Twitter to become President and co-founder Evan Williams has taken its place. The move must have caused some unrest among the co-founders: profile of Vanity Fair of Dorsey, the relationship between the itself and Williams has been described as relatively sudden:
Williams and the Council grew within two years. And while Dorsey remains President of the society, he was at the door by the time that Twitter has become a cultural force. Dorsey and Williams, to date, rarely speak to each other beyond the occasional exchange in the meetings of the Council.
But as Steve Jobs, Dorsey is also learn what it is like to come back. And this time, judging by all the noise on Twitter, the company and the social networking service that was his idea, it seems users are excited for his return.
Dorsey, or @ jack as noted on Twitter, is just as excited to be back. He says on his personal account of Twitter, "I am very pleased to return to work at @ Twitter leading products such as the Executive Chairman of today.". And Yes: leading @ Square never as Director-General. # 200%. »
Many hope changes and contributions that he bring back you to Twitter. One can imagine that with the design philosophy of Dorsey, Twitter for iPhone shortcuts, or # dickbar as mentioned, will remain. In fact, some users have been tweeting to Dorsey to make that possible.
The big news is that it will also remain on board in the Square as its CEO, which is perfectly logical. Dorsey has a great vision for the future of trade and the simplification of the payments for business, consumers to consumers, shopkeepers, in taxis and airports and elsewhere. The man takes the square philosophy and design seriously - an approach that Twitter could use these months during his absence.
Now he is back. Rumours that the social networking service was in talks for him are true, and we are pleased that it is.
