Review: Competing DJ - put the needle on the record Social

As I was enjoying tell the world where I am, what I do and delicious how food is where I am at via Foursquare, Facebook or Booyah! "s MyTown, I always felt that something else to do with my check-ins. What happens if you get a set of check-ins? This is exactly what Booyah! set out to do when he started to work on his next project, rival DJ.

Rival DJ is a mixture between a check-in app and a set of music where you take your character to various places in your city, or any other city, you can think of the United States, to take on DJ Drones who have infiltrated the location. Once you disable the location of drones, you earn the right to become DJ of House of this place which allows to collect funds from this location, even while you are away. Not only can you fight DJ Drones, but you can also access directly into the arena to take the player DJs. player DJs are DJs who have created other players that you can fight. Is not a true 1 to 1 versus mode as the player you fight is controlled by AI of the game, but no matter the battle really varies depending on the type of your opponent is equipped with gear.

The way in which you battle rival DJ is you select an attack from one of your three attack sites. Each attack has its own way of their implementation to initiate the attack successfully. If you miss entry, the amount of damage you deal with your opponent is reduced. Whenever a battle begins, a song by 30 seconds plays and then a loop once it comes to an end. Music plays a huge role in the game, as the only way, you can launch successfully an attack is by following the rhythm of the song.

As you complete it battles, you will earn points of experience (XP) that will allow to the your character to level up to once reached a specific amount of XP. Once this occurs, you can add points to your stats that will improve their attacks, health, and a number of other statistics. You can also buy a number of devices that are accessible only to a certain level. After that reach you the required level and have enough cash, you can purchase of new attacks, bridges of DJ and some other elements to help make you a more severe DJ.

One thing I found to be annoying, this is how the game limits the player on the battles how much you can do in a certain period of time. Granted, as you level of endurance and adrenaline, so you can fight more Drones or DJs player your character, but as you level up and become stronger DJ, the fight against the player & Drones DJs cost amount increases as well. If I want to play a game, I want to take advantage of however much time, I have to play. I do not like feeling as a little kid I played too long once I reach my limit. All this is is it gives me want to go play another game of iOS until I can return to DJ rival to play some more…. If I remember to go back to.

Final thought: Booyah! did an excellent job of marrying a check-in app with a music rhythm game. The only drawback of the game, this is how he puts an end to the action when things are just starting to get good. When consider you that it is a completely free game, when this inconvenience may be forgiven with how interesting and fun, the game can be.
