I met my wife thank for sending me the source code for this story. Has the source code link IN IM with a message that read "that you have heard about this wireless extension cable"?
All I could think about was: "How can you have a wireless extension cable?" That's like an oxymoron. This is the magic of WiTricity, based on wireless charging research from the MIT.
The idea is pretty simple: a circuit transforms standard AC electricity to a high frequency and it pulls up a WiTricity source, such as the flat rectangles that you see on the left in the photo. A WiTricity device designed in the same frequency as the source makes radiating can get by "resonant magnetic coupling". As you might have imagined, it is good for lighting, television, computer, not to mention of video and audio components without you connect anything to the wall. I have a video of WiTricity showcase after the jump.
Apple obviously loves this technology and collected has a patent application so that users can switch their computer, keyboard, mouse, or other electronic devices.
Personally, I could now use this technology as I upload to my phone forgot to keep, if I am at home. If I could just leave it in the room, and can wirelessly upload it I would be happy. Yes, this is technology that I and many others on the market would welcome. My only concern is, as is safe. Leave a comment if you know more about it as my sources.
