When the European Union formed the objective was to eliminate the need for multiple currencies and improve trade between the countries. As the years passed however, the EU has become similar to the United States of America, has regulations from high-ranking elected must follow all the 27 EU members. This caused a massive conservative movement to form, composed of people who want to how life was before the EU, but that is another topic of discussion all together. One of the favorite EU officials is Viviane Reding, who is originally from Luxembourg and is now the Commissioner European justice, fundamental rights and citizenship, but before (November 2004 to February 2010), she was European Commissioner for the Information and media company. One of his greatest achievements is demolishes the roaming charges. Since 2007, the maximum amount that you can be charged for a phone call decreased 6% each year. As of this month, prices are capped at 32 pence per minute (plus VAT) for outgoing calls and 10 pence per minute (plus VAT) for incoming calls.
But wait a minute, in America, you can go to one of the 50 States and make a phone call and said appeal not considered "roaming". The EU seeks to do the same, and their goal is that from here 2015 a call make you or receive from any country of the European Union should cost the same as what you pay for the calls to the House. It is now certainly ambitious and right this objective only concerns voice calls. By 2015, there will be a series of networks LTE covering the European Union and since voice calls on those who are no more data, how exactly it will be billed?
I am sure figure you in the technical details, but for the moment... way to go EU!
