Fast 4 G or super precision GPS - Pick, you can't have both

lost gps Fast 4G or super accurate GPS Pick one, you cant have both

We all salivate when we hear that networks are deployed networks 4 fast super G - I even upgrade my Verizon phone, until I can get one with 4 G LTE as the Droid - bionic, but if these 4 G networks might be badly the accuracy of the GPS chips in smartphones? A new report suggests that at least a new 4 G network can cope with dead GPS areas.

According to New Scientist, 4 G LTE service satellite LightSquared may compromise any GPS services due to the bands who will be using its base stations.

But in January, the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) gave preliminary approval to a plan by LightSquared to build 40,000 new G 4 field base stations. These stations disseminate much stronger signals in the range of 1525 to 1559 MHz, bind to cell phones.

Based on simulations of laboratory new transmissions, Scott Burgett and Hokuf of Bronson, engineers with satnav manufacturer Garmin International in Olathe, Kansas, saying that this will seriously damage GPS reception. In a report to the FCC last month, they say that overlaps between the two systems are inevitable and that it "will result in widespread severe GPS jamming"
