Twitter for BlackBerry has been updated in the Beta area to 1.1, allowing plenty of new features to the RIM built social networking application. The most important feature is one that I've waited since the official app first - geotag support. Now your tweets can have your site included, except if it is just a little too creepy for you, it is.
In addition to this, @ mentions reach now your device just as quickly as direct messages, which is a huge addition. Direct messages are now threaded, so you scratching your head trying to remember how a conversation went, and similarly, "official" retweets include a legend "retweeted by" to explain why unfamiliar faces might appear in your stream. Now, there are suggestions for AutoComplete to tweetgift based on what you had used before and the social application feeds can now manage a few more things on its own without having to launch in the dedicated Twitter client. Finally, there is a nice gesture of support for touch devices where you can refresh your calendar while generating flow as far as it will be as you saw in the other client. As this is Twitter for BlackBerry already plays nice with gestures left and rights and in the application of Messages, when flipping from e-mails.
As usual, Twitter for BlackBerry still has a tight integration with native addressbook, support to organized lists (a must if you follow a lot of people), searches saved to keep up-to-date on your favorite and of course subjects the usual answer, tweeting and messaging that Twitter just about.
At this stage, the only other feature I could imagine wanting is support for multiple account for vehicles heavy social networkers, but this isn't really a dealbreaker for me one way or another. To get the download, go on to the beta area.
