The tab of the Samsung Galaxy joined ViewSonic G-Tablet and build other devices with some Android 2.3 courtesy of CyanogenMod 7 gingerbread treatments. Tab of the Galaxy is perhaps not as lucky as the color of the corner with its honeycomb 3.0 Android ROM, but it is quite a good start.
Go flash your brain out, be aware that many things is broken with the ROM and even the best compilations of CyanogenMod 7 for other devices are almost unusable at this stage. He is currently a ROM gingerbread, I can use on my G2 that evoke an explicit layout per day after flashing, so remember that this build is not ready for everyday use soon. Nevertheless, its great to see the CyanogenMod team is hard at work to 2.3 on devices as much as possible. Hope simply that they are not spread themselves too thin users, making it even more waiting.
Forum XDA displayed the status of the Roma:
Current situation:
Voice calls: OK for me but reports indicate people can hear the appellant on the tab.
3 G: OK data
WiFi: OK
Bluetooth: Turns on discovery works, is not entirely pair with my keyboard
Camera: reports say broken, as expected.
Sensors: AKM kinda works, gravity is OK now, proximity fake-10 cm, light sensor now works reliable but auto brightness is screwed.
GPS: should work now.
Recovery and initramfs: CWM3 broken
There are a few kinks to work until we see this stabilized build and could take some time. Currently, the ROM does not support versions tab, as well as GSM units European CDMA and T-Mobile USA and AT & T versions will work. The fact that recovery itself seems to be broken forever because we do not want we touch this ROM yet, but a good piece of devs will be able to facilitate these questions in due time.
However, if your tab meets the requirements and that you want to give it a go, hit up the link below and share your experience with us in the comments below!
