After all these years of waiting, wishing and wishing, Verizon iPhone is finally available in stores for the masses. Last week, the Apple smartphone CDMA variant is available for existing customers of Verizon and it quickly full. Wireless carrier said that the event sales only record day, beating Motorola Droid was launched in November 2009. Now it is available for everyone, the crowds arrive?
You were more likely to hear crickets at Apple stores this morning more rabid fanboys. This is not to say that it is a device mixed or that there is little demand for the iPhone from Verizon. Those who really wanted the Verizon iPhone probably were existing customers already ordered him last week and had it shipped to the weekend. All those who desperately wanted the popular smartphone rushed to AT & T to get last summer where he appeared as the carrier exclusivity would be truly indefinite.
Another thing to consider is the fact that a new iPhone likely arrive this summer if Apple sticks to its regular refresh cycle. Who wants to buy a device that has been on the market for eight months now with a new one just four months away?
We are accustomed to see Apple stores surrounded by people during events like launch, but this is not really something unveiling again. It isn't like the launch initial iPhone 4 or the iPad launch where everyone had something again in haste. It's just a different version of what is already out.
