HP has just released webOS 3.0 SDK preview for tablets

Screen shot 2011 02 10 at 3.23.04 PM 660x474 HP has just released webOS 3.0 SDK preview for tabletsHP yesterday announced a new line of devices during the event, and now it is quickly followed with webOS SDK 3.0. After seeing 3 pre-and Veer, I thought: "OK, they seem like decent successors to the Palm Pre and Pixi." But when I saw the TouchPad, it is another story. Here, we never had the first webOS tablet, something many Palm fans had waited for and it turns out be a decent King - Apple iPad competitor.

Whereas the technical specifications and demonstrations impressed, was the only thing address in my mind, but what apps will be? "You can put the fastest tablet with the highest resolution on Earth in front of me, and I'm not likely to use or buy it if it does not have some killer apps. What else in I would be with it, surf the web and send and receive some email all day?

Fortunately, developers can get to work quickly and early, now that webOS 3.0 SDK Preview was released. To participate in this action, developers can send an email to pdc@palm.com.

The new operating system appears to be very impressive, a little Apple-esque in some cases, but certainly much better - to me - that I saw coming of Android 3.0 so far. Getting software done correctly for tablets is key and it looks like HP and his team had reason with this first iteration for the TouchPad.
