Last report from Juniper Research is all about augmented reality. The research firm found that a growing number of brands, retailers and mobile vendors are investing in mobile applications and AR services, with global revenues should approach 1.5 billion by 2015.

According to Juniper, base installed smartphones capable of AR increased to 8 million in 2009 to over $ 100 million in 2010, at the same time, AR apps were now increasingly created by the biggest players.

The "Mobile augmented reality" report highlighted several developments which have been key in this regard:
